the first reason to get out of bed,
the honking of the white geese,
the stark sound of winter.

I will bring you sunlight
shimmering across the waves
as long as there is water in the sea
that twinkles at daybreak.

I will bring you the dawn wind
freshness in the face
the last reason to get out of bed
and move into the light.
